Famous Photographer Anton Corbijn Organizes Exhibition

The exhibition, as organized by the famous Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn, who is also a famous film director, focuses on the contemporary works of the twelve photographers.

One thing that was common in all was their artisanal techniques. It is because of these techniques that produce their masterpieces which are meant to be a protest by themselves against the trend of digitalization and bulk production of the images. The new artists have tried to make a fusion by using the darkroom for the photo processing along with other relevant methods. Corbijn is highly interested in these methods and as a support to these artists he has organized this exhibition.

Anton Corbijn, born in 1955 in Strijen, gives equal importance to the established as well as the aspiring photographers. The show exhibits the works of Taiyo Onorato, Susanna Kraus, Daisuke Yokota, Nerhol, Miroslav Tichý, Thomas Mailaender, Adam Jeppesen, Antony Cairns, Nico Krebs, Gerard Fieret, Paul Kooiker and Dirk Braeckman.

Mr. Anton Corbijn has great contributions in the portrait photography as well as in international music. He loves to take photos outside the studio with proper care and precision for every detail. From 1983 he has been directing music videos, and from 2007 he has been into directing several feature films. So, besides photography, he also has a separate identity that is endowed with fame, but during his time in Amsterdam, he feels like getting back to the thing he has loved the most and that is photography.
